In the face of this enthusiasm and so that more people can take advantage of this opportunity, we have thought with Azema and his team about the development of a second edition of this trip. We wanted to keep small groups (10 people) in order to offer you an experience that remains "human-sized". So we have not simply expanded the number of places: we have developed a True second trip, where the program was adapted to maintain the same experiences, good addresses and strengths, without the groups meeting at the same time in the same place.

> This new trip doesn't bring you on August 30, but the 31 (day of the opening ceremony / no worries, it is held in the evening and international flights arrive early in the morning). We will not welcome you around a welcome dinner: but a welcome lunch! Keeping this moment of welcome and exchange was important to us, so we made sure we could have a first moment together around a good lunch at noon, after you arrived in Bishkek.

Day 1 & 2 : Day of arrival, Azema and we welcome you around a welcome lunch. In the afternoon, discovered with a local guide of Bishkek, festivities related to the national holiday, and evening opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games 2026. The next day, explorations in the mountains of Ala Archa National Park. In the afternoon, head towards the beautiful and wild Kegeti gorges, traditional activities, night on site in the nature in the yurt camp of the Azema family.
Day 3 : Direction north shore of Lake Issyk Kul to join the World Nomad Games. The day: discovery of remarkable historical and natural sites, between remains of the Silk Road, red canyons and petroglyphs. Free time to enjoy an end of day at the edge (or in!) the lake Issyk Kul, the "inner sea" of the Kyrgyz!
Day 4 & 5 : Two full days to enjoy in complete freedom the World Nomad Games 2026, spectacular sporting events, but also the ambiance of the ethno-village.
Day 3 : Direction north shore of Lake Issyk Kul to join the World Nomad Games. The day: discovery of remarkable historical and natural sites, between remains of the Silk Road, red canyons and petroglyphs. Free time to enjoy an end of day at the edge (or in!) the lake Issyk Kul, the "inner sea" of the Kyrgyz!
Day 4 & 5 : Two full days to enjoy in complete freedom the World Nomad Games 2026, spectacular sporting events, but also the ambiance of the ethno-village.
Day 6 : Exploration around the lake of Issyk Kul, pause in Karakol (capital of nature sports in Kyrgyzstan!), and discovery of one of the most picturesque mountain valleys in the country: the unique rock formations program, waterfall and yurt night on site for an immersion in the daily life of nomads living there.
Day 7 : After the green valleys, the red landscapes. Direct one of the largest and most impressive canyons in the country, a setting as seen in the films! Traditional meal in a yurt camp by the lake Issyk Kul, swimming, then road to the town of Kochkor, craft break and overnight at home in the small village of Kyzart.
DAY 8 & 9 : Two days of trekking on horseback that you are not ready to forget, with one night with a nomadic family living in one of the most beautiful scenery in Kyrgyzstan: Lake Song Kul. End of loop, transfer to Bishkek.

IS THIS AVENTURE MADE FOR YOU?
This trip is open to everyone... but it's up to you to know your own limits. Kyrgyzstan is not an anomalous destination, especially because of its topography. As for its tourist offer, although it has improved considerably in recent years, the infrastructure in rural areas or the comfort in some accommodations do not yet match the popular destinations (and it is so much better: it is for its authenticity that we love this country!). In summary: Kyrgyzstan remains an adventure destination and reserves its share of Specificities, which may not be suitable for all travellers. Then before you committake this information into account.
> A DESTINATION NOT AS OTHERS
• Here no luxury! This adventure takes you into the "real" Kyrgyzstan. You will sleep in traditional yurts or at home: the accommodation will be simple, but always pleasant and comfortable (with super hosts !). You will sometimes be taken to travel relatively committed environments (altitude, mountain...) but always well accompanied.e. We have carefully designed this stay to guarantee comfort and safety.
> ACCOMMODATIONS
• We do at best with Azema to choose Human-sized accommodation , maintained by premises and thus supporting responsible tourism. To guarantee a fair price the rooms are sometimes Shared between passengers (maximum 4). Concerning nights in yurt , these can accommodate up to 6 people: a good solution to stay warm on sometimes very cool nights, even if in practice to meet 6 is quite rare: your hosts will often suggest you to settle down according to your preferences.
> REPAS
Most meals are included in this trip. In Kyrgyzstan, it can be difficult to a meatless meal. Traditional Kyrgyz dishes revolve around sheep, beef, more rarely horse. Vegetarian solutions can be found most of the time, but often they are « to remove meat » a dish. However, as the number of international visitors continues to increase, many restaurants are beginning to adapt their offer, and even families are beginning to offer meatless dishes.
> ALTITUDE & CLIMATE
• Kyrgyzstan is a country of high mountains whosemedium altitude is one of the highest in the world. Be ready for some crossing points that will exceed the 3,000 mand one night at that altitude.

Roads & tracks are "like chocolate boxes" : You never know what we're gonna fall on! Trips can sometimes be taken, even if every year the road network improves.
> (DE)CONNECTION
• From the exit of cities and major axes, the Internet network is random. Cannot guarantee you Internet access throughout the adventure. On the other hand, we can promise you nice connections with the locals.
> CHEVAL TREK
• "Who didn't ride a horse didn't experience Kyrgyzstan!" Horse trekking is certainly the most emblematic experience here. The one we propose will be done with the best guides we know, and to reassure you if necessary: 85% people leaving with our guides are Beginners. However, this activity involves risks and will be carried out in high mountains on irregular terrain: caution is required and the risks are not to be underestimated. The trek represents about 5h horse per day (including regular breaks, 2 days in total)

Welcome to Kyrgyzstan! After your arrival at Manas airport, our friend Azema welcomes you (in French!) to his small family hotel in Bishkek. At lunchtime, meet each other for a welcome lunch at the restaurant: on the program, a beautiful discovery of traditional cuisine and a friendly exchange moment to start this adventure well. In the afternoon, you go with your guide to discover the capital, its local bazaars and its must-sees. Attention: it is the national holiday, festive atmosphere guaranteed! The opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games 2026 takes place in the evening, the Azema team will take care of the reservation of tickets for those who wish to participate (not included in the prize: the organization has not yet communicated the rates).
On the 2nd day, after breakfast, head for the Ala-Archa National Park, located 40 kms from the city for a first immersion in nature at the foot of the Celestial Mountains. This nature reserve covers more than 2,000 hectares with peaks reaching almost 5,000m altitude. It is home to many glaciers and is known for its beautiful forests of pines, rivers and impressive gorges that you can discover during an easy and pleasant hike.
In the afternoon, your guide and your driver take you to a new place to finish the day: towards the beautiful gorges of Kegeti! In this wild, more confidential valley, you discover a very special yurt camp: Azema! For years Azema dreamed of being able to welcome travelers to this place she loves so much. Today she did it, and you'll be one of the first travelers to sleep in this family camp! On site, relax between 2 mountains, easy walks, traditional activities (we leave you the surprise!)... And your first night in yurt, of course.

DAY 3 - Grand Canyon • petroglyphs • LAC ISSYK-KUL> 2 September
It is time to leave the yurt camp to continue the discovery of Kyrgyzstan! These first 250 kilometres in the heart of the country are an opportunity to admire the diversity of landscapes offered by Kyrgyzstan. After a meal in a local restaurant on the way, easy trek of 2 hours to discover and explore a huge and amazing canyon of sandstone and red clay: atmosphere planet Mars assured.
Then head to the shores of the immense lake Issyk kul: the "inner sea" of the Kyrgyz! Discovery of a historic site known to house unique petroglyphs: this vast open-air museum gathers thousands of stone engravings, some of which date back more than 3,000 years and trace the history of the first peoples of Central Asia.
End of day relaxation at the edge (or in !) the lake Issyk-Kul whose name means « hot water » : a moment of calm in front of the surrounding mountains before discovering the effervescence of the World Nomad Games the next day.

DAY 4 & 5 - 100% WORLD NOMAD GAMES > 3 & 4 September
You are there: today officially begins the 6th edition of the World Nomad Games! The next 2 days will be a mix of sporting events, cultural immersion, and nature! A daily shuttle will be reserved for you and your group, to ensure your transportation to the beautiful mountain valley of the ethno-village and events. On site, enjoy the whole event in complete freedom (we may meet each other!).
Every day: ethnic sports competitions, demonstrations and shows, ethno-village catering and tasting, medal ceremonies... And a festive atmosphere guaranteed with concerts that celebrate every end of the day!

DAY 6 - south shore of ISSYK-KUL • karakol • trek between green valley and waterfall • night with nomads> 5 September
The exploration of Kyrgyzstan continues. Run along Lake Issyk Kul to reach the southern shore, more wild and confidential. Stop in Karakol for lunch, the "capital" of nature sports in Kyrgyzstan! The opportunity to taste a typical dish, to observe its picturesque architecture and iconic points of interest that reflect the cultural mix of the largest city in the region.
Now, after the intensity of the World Nomad Games, it is time to experience the calm and serenity of the Kyrgyzstan valleys. Directions one of the most picturesque valleys in the country, known for its impressive and massive bright red cliffs that dominate its entrance. Passing from the red universe to the green as only Kyrgyzstan can do, the trail opens onto a green valley welcoming the yurts of nomads. This valley is known for its many hiking trails, one of which will lead you to a waterfall: you take advantage of an easy trek to discover this little hidden gem.
After the walk, discover the pastoral activity, emblematic of the region, and the daily life of nomads: the day ends with a traditional meal prepared by the family, and you experience a first night in the felt cocoon that the Kyrgyz call « booz üý » : the traditional yurt.

DAY 7 - Crafts • yurts by the water • CANYON OF THE RIVERS • Night at home> 6 September
After an awakening and breakfast in the sweet valley discovered the day before, resume the road. You walk along the shores of Lake Issyk Kul with your driver again, but suddenly he turns off the asphalt and sinks into a runway. Gradually, the route slips into what is like a dry river bed. Around, a labyrinth of ochre-coloured rock formations is emerging, the shapes are ever higher and steeper... You have just entered the canyon of forgotten rivers! This place is perhaps one of the most impressive in Kyrgyzstan, because of its colours, its forms, its extent and the beauty of the landscapes surrounding it. A ballad on the ridges of sandstone and sand will give you a nice glimpse of this unique painting.
Next? On the shores of the lake, a local meal awaits you in small yurt camp. Time to enjoy one last time the blue immensity, then resume the road to change region and environment. A "craft" break in the city of Kochkor will allow you to fill up with small memories, before arriving in one of the key places of this adventure: your base camp for the trek on horseback for the next two days! Night at home and sharing dinner with the guides who the next day will take you on a horse adventure... That you won't forget!

DAY 8 - Horse trek • LAC SONG-KUL • night at 3,000m altitude with nomads> 7 September
After a solid breakfast, it's the start. You get to know your horse, and your guides explain the rules of "driving" as they say, as well as the safety rules. Departure from the village on horseback and towards the mountains: from there, it is completely disconnected for 2 days! About 5 hours of horse are planned per day (regular pauses included, and pace to make the trek accessible to everyone).
You let yourself be carried along a route where you walk among the most beautiful traditional pictures of Kyrgyzstan: nomads in their winter house in the middle of nowhere, herds of cows, sheep and yaks with their shepherd on horseback, yurts of course, and on the ridges of the mountains that you climb, wild horses.
At the top of a pass at an altitude of nearly 3,300m, you discover what is for many the most beautiful scenery in Kyrgyzstan: Lake Son Kul. We're not telling you any more. You're enjoying an uplift on Son Kul Lake. After breakfast, prepare horses and 2nd day of trek (4-5 hours of horse again). Discover a new pass and new landscapes, bucolic breaks to relieve the legs of riders like horses, until you reach the village where the loop ends.

Kyrgyzstan has good internet coverage in cities and on major routes. However, in the mountains, disconnection is often total! Here are the two best options:
• Local Option (Economic): Buy a SIM card from O! or Megacom As soon as you arrive at the airport. For about 500 soms (approx. 5€), you enjoy unlimited internet for 30 days.
• eSIM (Comfort & Rapidity) option: If you wish to be connected from the time of landing without looking for a shop, we recommend eSIM Saily. It is a digital card to activate via an app before your departure and also includes a 100% free VPN.
