OUR BOWERS
The hybrid housing par excellence! With its new full-size sensor of 33 million pixels, it is our number 1 weapon for the photo but not only. We like it for: its incredible autofocus, its 5-axis stabilization, its superb image quality, its wide ISO rise, its very durable battery. It's an ultra versatile case: when you have to take only one, it is he who is with us. Previously equipped with an A7 III that had already bluffed us a lot, this new housing, in addition to the strengths already mentioned, finally adopts a rotating screen as well as a new organization of menus and that, look at nothing, it revolutionizes our daily work. On the video side, the A7 IV also surprises us with a better color management and an autofocus always bluffing, the only small shadow: an important frame in 4K 50 i/s that can stop pure video makers.
A real professional camera in a hybrid format! It's our video box. With a perfect mastery of the 4K, a tenfold color science, an ultra-reactive autofocus & a dynamic XXL range, difficult to demand in its category. Its strength is also its defect: if the saved files are of very high quality, it also means that it will take a solid configuration behind (storage equipment, post-processing) to fully exploit them.

OUR PURPOSE
A good case is good, but an excellent goal is even better! As indicated above, the big advantage of Sony's E mount is that it opens up a wide choice of possibilities and brands (Sony, Sigma, Tamron...) accessible to different budgets. All our lenses are protected by U.V. filters.
Sony 24mm F1.4 GM
In one word: exceptional! Small, light, with a large opening and a super pique, this fixed wide angle focal point meets many of our needs, whether in photo or video. This is the lens we use for our night photos. And if you didn't know, the GM letters mean G-Master , it allows to identify the "prenium" optics of Sony.
Sony 200-600 F5.6-6.3 G
Our new telezoom! Reserved for a more specific use (animalist, landscape composition...) this lens completes our needs with its long focal range that we can even extend with the super 35 mode of our A7 IV. Add to this, an optical stabilization, its internal zoom and its 2kg on the balance, we reserve a beautiful (and large) place in our bag.
Sony 20-70mm F4 G
Fixed 3/4 of the time on our photo / video case, this is the ideal goal for the trip! Excellent image quality, a wide focal range that covers many of our needs, a constant opening to 4 that leaves room for a lot of creativity, all in a formidable size to weight ratio. Hard to find a weak spot, it may not be its opening that limits its use in certain low light conditions.
Sony 70-200 F2.8 GMII
High-end optics par excellence! A focal range that we have been missing for a long time, this zoom allows us to be very reactive and versatile during our reports, ranging from a general shooting (70mm) to the isolation of a subject / detail (200mm) in seconds. The whole with excellent definition, a constant F2.8 opening allowing to use it at any time of the day and a perfectly optimized weight / congestion ratio. He never leaves one of our bags.
Satisfied with this optical park?
It's hard not to be... after dozens of land missions all very varied (towns, mountains, outdoor sports...), we really enjoy our choices, our goals allow us to cover all our needs whether in photo and / or video. Only one small regret, that we did not opt for a larger focal range on our telezoom, we are thinking about taking a 200-600 to replace our 100-400. The idea of adding an ultra-wide angle to this small family is also in our heads for very specific uses
ACCESSORIES
Variable ND filter
Mainly used in video, a ND filter significantly reduces the intensity of light captured by a device and adjusts the exposure parameters more precisely. Be careful, if you invest in a filter, instead bet on a brand that has proven its worth (Hoya, B+W, Tiffen...) at the risk of severely degrading the quality of the image
Clip Peak Design V3
We continue in small revolutions: this fastening system allows us to attach our box to a strap in our bag. Once activated, the system leaves its hands free and the housing safe. Just a simple pressure to draw the device again! The disadvantage: if the set up (box + lens) is large, this can create a significant imbalance during a long hike.
DRONE & ACCESSORIES
Becomes very popular in a few years, the drone expands the field of possibilities for photos or videos. Although becoming more and more accessible, flying a drone can take a lot of risks and drifts so we invite you to learn more about the laws in force in order to fly safely.
DJI MAVIC 3 CLASSIC
We're on the pro range! After having had the mavic air 1 and 2 that were perfect for our needs, we are now changing to a drone with a larger sensor and an incredible image quality in view of its template. The embedded sensor is a micro size 4/3 or the same as our very first camera, we let you imagine the possibilities offered by this drone. Dji is further improving its batteries with more than 40' announced as well as its portability for a solid connection limiting signal loss. Anyway, we should keep him for a while!
What drone to start with?
Drones are changing fast and today it is possible to enjoy themselves with beautiful aerial images for a "correct" budget. To begin I advise the mavic mini 2 From Dji's, a small but tough drone that you will never hesitate to put in your bag (and that counts). In any case, no matter your drone choice, think about equipping you with extra batteries to make the fun last!
GOPRO & ACCESSORIES
The small camera that allows us to record images closest to the action when the situation requires.
What about the occas?
We have always bought our used GoPros and usually with a generation of gaps: it is often the small camera that some offer for special occasions and then sell because they no longer have the utility or to have the very last one. So it's a good plan to have one of these cameras in very good condition but at a broken price! Obviously the market of the occas' also has pitfalls: always compare the gain of money with the taking of risk (anarchs, lack of guarantee...).
STORAGE
Today, whether it is with our phones, cameras, drones, we are accumulating more and more content and with always improved image qualities... But also taking more and more space. We had to quickly ask ourselves how to store our photos/videos, secure them and have easy access to them without coming out about ten hard drives. And we may have found one of the best solutions to all our problems!
SSD PNY RP60
We've known external hard drives as big as a dictionary plugging into the sector, we've known portable hard drives (HDDs) the size of the wallets and now... There are: solid state drive (SSD) discs from PNY : much faster, smaller and especially stronger. We store in these tiny spaces 1 or 2 tera! This is our nomadic n°1 alternative to quickly store our photos/videos and make space on our SD cards safely, without needing a network.
SYNOLOGY DS925+ NAS
This little box (called Nas) has revolutionized our daily lives. It is a kind of private server: composed of 4 locations to accommodate hard drives of the size of our choice, the whole is connected to our internet box, which allows us to have access to all our data from all over the world, in a secure way via a secure platform or smartphone app, not bad? Since 2025 Synology , a global reference in the field, accompanies us on this storage solution which has become indispensable with their latest model the DS925+ !
PNY Pro Elite SD Card
Never disappointed with SD cards PNY , they are used in 128gb on our photo box (2 cards inserted), they swallow without worries the long days of shooting.
32, 64, 128GB?
Storage needs are sometimes hard to estimate but this is something that comes quickly with practice. Everything will depend on the activity... and the budget! On the photo side, we recommend you to the mini 64GB. In video, you can run without hesitation to a capacity of 128.

Gitzo Adventure 30L
Our faithful companion. Everything we like at home: solid, functional, aesthetic to our taste, its compartment on the top completely separated from the material space, its space to store a 15'' computer, the ventral belt to which we are accustomed because of the hikes... As well as the possibility of removing the protective box material in order to make it a full bag!

At home, in a van, in a tent, in a cabin at the bottom of Vietnam, here are the creative tools we use daily to process our images.
Macbook pro 16''
It was the video editing and processing of 4K files that prompted us to equip ourselves with such a powerful computer. With its large, well-balanced colour level screen, 32go RAM and 1TB SSD, it offers real working comfort + super efficiency. The only weak point for the most geeks: cannot manually change its components to increase its capabilities.
Video editing accessories
This is the new 2025! Since the launch of our Youtube channel , the video editing part has grappled a lot of space, so to gain productivity while adopting a better working posture we have invested in small accessories that make a big difference: a computer support, a bluetooth keyboard and an ergonomic mouse.
We're changing everything!
Investing in photo & video equipment also means anticipating... Buying tools that can handle captured images! In 2021 we had to renew our IT "set-up" in order to be able to work more effectively. Our goal was to have tools allowing us to be mobile in order to be able to work from anywhere and powerful enough, to process heavy RAW files in photo and 4K video. Today, 4 years later, the combo tablet + laptop always suits us perfectly, whether for the professional side but also for our use in our nomadic lifestyle.
